Cádiz, located in the southernmost point of Spain, is an ancient city, deep, happy, sunny, open spaces, unhurried, sea and mountains, the smell of salt, sea and mountains, horses and wine, infinite flavours, flamenco, art, …
To capture its essence you would have to feel it for yourself.
But still, you could study it, visit it thousands of times and even live in it for years and you would always come up short.
So much diversity and contrast, yet everything so close.
For that and for more it is unique.

Cádiz is a city and is the capital of the province of Cádiz, one of the eight that make up the autonomous community of Andalusia.
Cádiz is located in the south of Spain between two seas, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Near the mouth of the Guadalquivir River and the Strait of Gibraltar.
The Atlantic Ocean has determined the history of Cádiz from its origins to the present day.
The inhabitants of Cádiz are called “gaditanos”.

Cadiz is the oldest city in Western Europe
It was founded three thousand one hundred years ago by the Phoenicians with the name of Gadir, which means walled enclosure, castle or fortress.
Later, in Latin it would be called Gades and later in Arabic Qadis.
Cádiz is the only city that borders Gibraltar, a British territory located to the south of the Iberian Peninsula.
It is a typically Andalusian city with a large number of attractive sights and historical monuments.
Within the municipality of the same name, we can find populations such as:
Feria del Caballo, Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz)
Jerez de la Frontera with its Horse Fair and its Sherry wine cellars
