Contribute to Korespa
There is always more to discover — and much more to share.
Korespa is built around a simple idea: culture becomes richer when people share what they know, what they have experienced, and what they believe is worth discovering.
We do not pretend to know every place, every tradition, every story, or every perspective. We never will.
That is why Korespa is open to contributions from people who can help us better understand and represent the world around us.
You may be a writer, photographer, traveller, local resident, historian, researcher, artist, student, professional, enthusiast, or simply someone with a story or piece of knowledge worth sharing.
What matters to us is not your title. It is what you can contribute.
Help us build something worth reading
Korespa is not only about publishing articles.
We want to gradually create a collection of knowledge, experiences, images, and perspectives that helps people discover places, cultures, ideas, and stories in a more meaningful way.
People who contribute can help us improve the depth, accuracy, and cultural identity of Korespa.
You might contribute:
- An article or personal perspective
- Knowledge about your city, region, or country
- Cultural traditions and local customs
- Historical stories or lesser-known facts
- Travel experiences
- Photography
- Art, architecture, or design
- Food and culinary traditions
- Nature and local environments
- Interviews or conversations with interesting people
- Corrections or additional context to something already published
- Suggestions for subjects that deserve more attention
- Research, references, or useful sources
- A completely different idea that you believe belongs on Korespa
You do not necessarily need to write a complete article.
Sometimes a photograph, a recommendation, a correction, a local insight, or a small piece of knowledge can considerably improve an existing story.
Local knowledge matters
Some of the most interesting information about a place never appears in a travel guide.
It comes from the people who live there.
A street with an unusual history.
A building everyone passes but few people know anything about.
A traditional recipe passed down through generations.
A celebration that means something very different to local people than it does to visitors.
A landscape that deserves greater protection.
An artist whose work should be better known.
A story that is slowly disappearing from collective memory.
These are exactly the kinds of things we would like Korespa to help preserve and share.
Different perspectives are welcome
Culture does not have a single voice.
Two people can experience the same city, event, tradition, or subject in very different ways.
We believe those differences have value.
Korespa welcomes thoughtful perspectives and constructive disagreement, provided contributions are respectful, factual where facts are presented, and are not intended to deliberately mislead or harm others.
We are interested in understanding subjects, not manufacturing controversy around them.
You do not need to be a professional writer
Good knowledge does not always arrive in perfectly written paragraphs.
If Spanish or English is not your first language, that is not a problem.
If you have something worthwhile to contribute, our editorial process can help organise, edit, or translate the material where appropriate, while trying to preserve your original meaning and voice.
We would rather receive an interesting contribution written imperfectly than lose valuable knowledge because someone felt they were not a good enough writer.
Photography and visual contributions
Photography is an important part of Korespa.
We welcome original photographs that help document places, people, architecture, landscapes, traditions, food, art, and everyday culture.
You must own the photographs you submit or have the necessary permission to allow us to use them.
Where appropriate, photographers and original sources are credited alongside their work.
We take intellectual property seriously and do not believe that publishing something online removes the rights of the person who created it.
Accuracy matters
Nobody gets everything right.
Korespa included.
If you have specialist or local knowledge and find something on Korespa that you believe is incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or missing important context, we want to hear from you.
A correction can be just as valuable as a new article.
Where reliable evidence supports a correction, we will review the material and update it when appropriate.
Our objective is not to defend something simply because we published it before. Our objective is to make Korespa better.
Independent contributions
Contributing to Korespa does not mean you have to agree with every opinion that may appear on the site.
Each contributor remains responsible for their own views.
Where an article represents a personal opinion rather than Korespa’s editorial position, we may identify it accordingly.
We also expect contributors to disclose relevant commercial interests, sponsorships, affiliations, or other relationships that could reasonably influence the subject they are discussing.
Transparency is important to us.
What we are not promising
We prefer to be clear.
Submitting something to Korespa does not guarantee that it will be published.
We may edit submissions for clarity, language, accuracy, length, formatting, or consistency. Significant changes should always preserve the contributor’s original meaning.
Some contributions may require additional verification.
Others may simply not fit Korespa at that particular moment.
We also cannot guarantee payment for unsolicited contributions unless compensation has been agreed in advance before the work is commissioned.
We would rather explain that clearly than create unrealistic expectations.
Recognition
When a contribution is published, we want to recognise the person behind it.
Depending on the type of contribution, this may include:
- Your name
- A short contributor profile
- Photography credits
- Links to a professional website or relevant profile
- Attribution within the article
- A contributor page containing your published work
Anonymous contributions may also be considered where there is a legitimate reason to protect someone’s identity, although we may still need to verify the contributor privately.
Organisations, experts, and cultural institutions
We also welcome contributions and information from organisations whose knowledge can help improve Korespa.
This may include museums, universities, archives, cultural associations, tourism organisations, conservation groups, researchers, historians, photographers, artists, local authorities, and other relevant institutions.
Providing information does not automatically give an organisation editorial control over an article.
Korespa should remain useful to its readers first.
Is something missing from Korespa?
Tell us.
A country we should explore further.
A tradition we have overlooked.
An extraordinary place few people know about.
A historical event worth revisiting.
A person whose work deserves more attention.
A photograph that tells a story.
A correction.
An idea.
Or simply something you believe more people should know.
Korespa will always be incomplete.
And that is part of what makes the project interesting.
There will always be another story to tell and something new to learn.

If you would like to contribute, send us a short introduction explaining:
- What you would like to contribute
- The subject or place involved
- Why you believe it could be useful or interesting
- Whether the material has been published elsewhere
- Whether photographs or other original material are available
- Any relevant experience or connection you have with the subject
You do not need to prepare a finished article before contacting us.
A few paragraphs explaining your idea are enough to start a conversation.
