people during the day and until late at night.<\/p><p>Newspaper kiosks, flower stands, and street actors, painters, and cartoonists are typical.<\/p><p>Cafes, restaurants, and shops abound.<\/p><p>Walking along La Rambla, you can see several buildings of interest, such as the <a title=\"Palace of the Viceroyalty\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Palacio_de_la_Virreina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palacio de la Virreina<\/a>, the <a title=\"La Boqueria\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/La_Boquer%C3%ADa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Boquer\u00eda<\/a> market, and the famous <a title=\"Grand Lyceum Theater\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gran_Teatro_del_Liceo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Liceo theater<\/a> (in Catalan, <i>El Liceu<\/i> ), where operas and ballets are performed.<\/p><p>The Paseo de La Rambla ends at the old port, where the famous <a title=\"Columbus Monument (Barcelona)\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Monumento_a_Col%C3%B3n_(Barcelona)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statue of Christopher Columbus is located. <\/a>And from there, a wide walkway called Rambla de Mar leads to the dock of Spain, where the <a title=\"maremagnum\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maremagnum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maremagnum<\/a> shopping center is located.<\/p><p>In the immediate vicinity is the <a title=\"Maritime Museum of Barcelona\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Museo_Mar%C3%ADtimo_de_Barcelona\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maritime Museum<\/a> ( <i>Museu Maritim<\/i> ), dedicated especially to the naval history in the Mediterranean, and in which a full-scale reproduction of an old combat galley is exhibited.<\/p><p>The old port offers other attractions, such as a leisure and shopping center, restaurants, an <a title=\"IMAX\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IMAX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMAX<\/a> cinema, and the largest aquarium of Mediterranean marine fauna.<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/><figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antoni_Gaud%C3%AD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antoni Gaud\u00ed<\/a>, the greatest exponent of <a title=\"Catalan modernism\"
